A private nature reserve, Laughing Falcon Reserve in Toledo, the southernmost territory of Belize, is more than a home for Machaca Hill. Originally established as a fishing lodge, the new owners, Outpost International, are committed to managing this 11,000 acre private nature reserve to promote and encourage the sustainable use of this verdant tropical environment.

The Lodge features 12 elegantly appointed cabanas terraced on the hillside each with a sitting area and private bath adorned with hand made ceramic tile; and private veranda with hammocks. For your comfort, all cabanas have both air-conditioning and ceiling fans. We offer wireless internet service for your laptop in all Cabins and most areas near the main lodge and pool.

The main lodge is atop the plateau summit of "Machaca Hill" for which the original farm was named. It features a reception area, restaurant, bar, gift shop, and sprawling verandas on 2 levels.

Standard Rooms
10 of our 12 units each have two queen sized beds and 4 of these units carry futons for additional sleeping capacity. Additionally these units are fitted with a coffee maker, mini-fridge, safe, and hair dryer. Our new and improved Arbor Restaurant offers a balanced mixture of fresh, local seafood and regional cuisine with many of the herbs, vegetables and tropical fruit organically grown at Machaca Hill which can be served either in the dining room or on our spacious verandah.
