Matachica Beach Resort
Matachica is a secluded and exquisite beach resort featuring fourteen private air-conditioned villas, including two 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom Luxury Villas, each representing a different tropical fruit. Sample the flavor of the Beachfront Casitas, the Sea-View Suites, the Sea-View Bungalows and Luxury Caribbean Villas. All prices include Continental breakfast and transfers from the airport in San Pedro.
The Luxury Caribbean Villas are located on the highest part of the resort with a spectacular view of the Caribbean Sea and Barrier Reef. Every villa offers two spacious bedrooms each with air-conditioning and private patio, two full bathrooms, kitchenette, reading room, living area and sun deck. Personal maid is also available and we can arrange for a delicious in-house dinner at your convenience.
Our majestic lobby is designed with elegance and style. Enjoy the diversity of our library and our state of the art satellite system, while sinking into one of our exotic sofa beds draped in the finest fabrics from around the world.
We are very fortunate to have what many consider to be the finest pearly white beach along the coast of Ambergris Caye. Other options are snorkeling off our pier or swimming with an amazing array of beautifully colored fish at the Hol Chan marine reserve. Right next door you will have the unique opportunity to swim with nurse sharks and stingrays.
Relax in a lounge chair or hammock; get a massage, or shop in San Pedro’s charming barefoot village where English is the official language. Kayaks and Windsurfing boards are available free of charge. Diving, water sports and mainland tours can also be arranged.
Our Mambo restaurant is already a sensation and a true success. Our Italian chef prepares exquisite international cuisine daily as well as a variety of homemade pastas and breads. The menu includes recipes that incorporate fresh spices and vegetables from our own garden … Quite a dining experience!
Accommodations
All of our accommodations are set in individual, private, air-conditioned villas featuring full bath and daily maid service. Each villa is unique, with the interiors designed in an eclectic Central American style with furnishings collected from around the world. Comfortably bohemian and decidedly distinctive, our spacious bedrooms will provide you with personal privacy while the beds are made up in soft cottons and luxurious linens.
The Beachfront Casitas are 550 square feet of casually elegant interior space. King bed. 50 feet from the Caribbean Sea. Unobstructed views of the barrier reef from your living room. Full bathroom, air-conditioning, sitting area, private patio with hammock, feather duvet, Frette linens, towels, bathrobes and Central American interior furnishings.
Sea View Suites
The Sea View Suites are 350 square feet of quaint interior space. King bed. 200 feet from the Caribbean Sea. Full bathroom, air-conditioning, sitting area, private patio with hammock, feather duvet, Frette linens, towels, bathrobes and Central American interior furnishings.
Located in the highest part of the resort, and further elevated for additional privacy. Each of these Luxury Villas have two spacious air-conditioned bedrooms with a private patio each, two full bathrooms, kitchenette, living room and sun deck. 1700 square feet of interior space. Feather duvets, Frette linens, towels, bathrobes and Central American interior furnishings.
Beach Mansion
Matachica Beach Mansion, offers 3000 sq ft of artistically designed pure luxury. Three sumptuous bedrooms each with king bed, including a top floor master bedroom with its own private sun patio with breathtaking panoramic view.
Three full bathrooms with very spacious jungle rain showers big enough for two. Includes a grand living area with entertainment center and kitchenette, as well as a very large outdoor veranda. Feather duvets, Frette linens, towels, bathrobes and Central American interior furnishings. Fully air-conditioned.
The perfect surroundings for a group of up to six persons. With two additional single beds it can accommodate up to eight. This villa is also available for long term rental.
