Southwest Airlines introduces direct flights from Fort Lauderdale to Belize
Joining the growing ranks of non-stop flights connecting the United States and Canada to Belize, Southwest Airlines has just announced that they will begin operating a non-stop flight from Fort Lauderdale in southern Florida to Belize City. According to the official announcement on their website, Southwest will offer one-way fares beginning at just $79. Fort Lauderdale is located just 30 miles north of Miami, and the new route has a flying time of approximately three hours.
The new Fort Lauderdale route will join Southwest's growing Belize network as the airline already operates direct service to Belize from Houston's Hobby Airport (HOU) and Dallas Love Field (DAL). In addition, Southwest has already announced that it will be operating a non-stop flight from Denver's international airport (DEN) to Belize beginning on March 11, 2017.
